Certified or sworn translation is done by a court-appointed translator/interpreter who guarantees for the accuracy of the translation by applying his/her stamp and signature to the translated text. In Croatia, a permanent court interpreter/translator or sworn interpreter/translator is appointed for a 4-year term by the County Court in Zagreb, and is locally called stalni sudski tumač for a particular language.
